I am LOVING that we are having an early spring!! KY is SO green and beautiful right now, and WARM! Usually this time of year is rainy with hit or miss nice days; this year, its mostly all nice and warm -bliss!

I really think that food companies need to make packaged food meant for 1-2 people. I feel like I never really cook anymore, because when I do, we have TONS of leftovers and who wants to eat the same thing over and over again?! What are you supposed to do when you're not a family of 4?!

I think Michelle Duggar is a saint. I've watched their show, "19 Kids and Counting" for some time now, and while I don't necessarily agree with how strict they are when it comes to certain things, her love and faith in Christ cannot be second guessed. The season finale was on the other night and it was the episode where they found out she had lost her 20th pregnancy at around 17 weeks. As she laid there and heard the news, she simply praised God for his ability to both give and take away. She followed it up by saying, "Blessed be the name of the Lord." Although she was so devastated, she knew that God was in control and that there was a greater purpose for her unborn baby. As a Christian, I know that I struggle with always praising God in the good and bad. I think it's something most people do struggle with and she set such an example to me with her faith throughout the whole ordeal. If you haven't watched the episode yet, do, and be sure to bring a box of tissues with you; you will cry like a baby.

I'm so incredibly pumped to head out to MY bachelorette party tomorrow. As someone who thought the man God designed for me had been hit by a bus and that I missed my chance to meet him (seriously, I thought this), and someone who's always been out celebrating my friends weddings, now people are going to celebrate mine, and I'm excited. I'm also so grateful that I have good friends who will give up 4 days and drive 9 hours to celebrate with me. I know going so far is a little extravagant, but not one questioned my choice of destination; they all jumped on board and starting planning!
Happy Almost Weekend, friends!!

Note: Since I'm going to SC from Friday until Tuesday, I wont be updating the blog until next Wednesday when I'll do a big ol' bachelorette party re-cap for my Wedding Wednesday :)

Wedding Wednesday....Engagement Pics :)
We were finally able to get our engagement pics taken on Saturday evening. Yay!!! Of course, the one day that we schedule them ends up being the one day in a span of about 14 where the weather was cold and stormy. Go figure. However, the rain held off (thanks for everyone who prayed) and we were able to get them all done!
Before we could even think about engagement pictures, we had to pick our photographer. I know several people who are photographers, so we had lots of options to choose from. Making our decision came very naturally for us since he was also the photographer for two of our other friends' wedding this past year. Naturally, being involved with both weddings, you get to know the photographer and both M and I got along really well with him (a must, especially for M since he's not a big "I love taking pictures" type person) and really liked the overall look of the pictures. He does a great mix of both photo journalistic style pictures as well as the "posed" ones and also mixes in that vintage look with normal and black and whites. His pricing is also great and fell within our budget; an added bonus!
Since we are both teachers, we wanted to incorporate a school, and since M is an avid baseball player, fan, and former coach, we wanted to incorporate that as well. Since he's an athletic director, we had all access to his schools' facilities for the pictures. We started on the baseball field, then moved into a classroom and the hallway and then back out on the field to finish up as the sun began setting. We went for our casual look here both sporting jeans and casually tops. We then changed clothes into our dressier look (dress for me and suit for him), in the funk smelling baseball building (think high school boy sweat smell x 10. Gross) and headed downtown for the remainder of our pictures. We took some in the same park we got engaged and then moved down into the main street area for the rest of them! He took some 200+ pictures so we are excited to see how they all came out!! We've seen a few sneaks and this is my absolute favorite one so far! It was the very first picture we took and it's of us sitting on the pitchers mound where M pitched all throughout high school. Awwww.
I'll post more once he finishes editing them- I dont want to overload y'all with them :)
XOXO,
The Bride
P.S. I just did my practice spray tan for the wedding (Getting married at the very start of summer doesnt allow enough time to get tan). The lady came to my house and I totally felt like a real housewife having someone come and personally spray me! Ha! M, well M's wallet, may be in trouble because I LOVED it and may want her to begin spraying me regularly ;)
